What we collect

When you create an account or use Votes & Notes, we collect:

• Account information — your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
• Campaign information — the name, settings, and configuration of your campaign events
• Host and event data — names, emails, event types, dates, locations, and fundraising goals for events you create
• Usage data — basic analytics about how you use the platform (pages visited, features used)

What we do NOT collect

We do not store, process, or have access to any donation or payment data. All contributions made through your campaign flow directly through your ActBlue account. We never see, touch, or store financial transaction information of any kind.

How we use your data

We use the data we collect solely to operate the platform — meaning to authenticate your account, display your dashboard, generate your event assets (QR codes, sign-in sheets), and sync webhook data from ActBlue. We do not use your data for advertising.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. Period. We may share data with third-party service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g., our database provider Supabase, our hosting provider Vercel). These providers are contractually obligated to keep your data secure and not use it for their own purposes.

Your rights

You can request access to the data we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time. To make a request, email us at privacy@tools.democrat. We'll respond within 30 days.
